Absolutely take your Corvette to Tony Avedisian! Tony's Corvette Shop, Inc. 18630 Woodfield Road, Gaithersburg MD 20879 (301) 987-0565. It's right next to the general aviation airport.
He charges a very fair price especially considering that you'll get absolute top notch work with an attention to detail that only a corvette restoration specialty shop with years of NCRS / Bloomington experience can provide. His mechanics specialize in different vintage corvettes and have the skills, equipment & impressive parts supply to restore & work on C1's all the way up to the new C5's. They also do sub assembly restoration & rebuilds (rear ends etc).
The initial overhaul to put my '70 on the road (suspension, bushings, SS brakes, exhaust, ragtop, windshield...) before I ever even drove it for the first time was done at Tony's Corvette Shop. Tony will always give you a straight story, stick to his word and won't play games... plus he's just such a nice guy to do business with. :) Only someone like Tony will call a brand new shark owner (me!) once a week for a month just to see how the car was running and to make sure everything was OK! Most definately worth every penny! ... and believe me, I spent some *very serious pennies* at his shop! ~Juliet
