My '70 coupe has a base coat /clearcoat paint job.It was done about a year ago. There have been no issues with it until this major eight days of rain we've had recently.I had a "rain resistant" cover on it but it was saturated. There are now small bubbles appearing in several areas. These were definitely not there when I covered it up before the rain. Has anyone experienced anything like this? Is it related to the rain? the cover? Can anything be done to minimize the bubbles short of repainting? Thanks

Re: 1970 coupe paint bubbles
I have seen this before. I made the mistake of leaving a folded wet cover on the rear of my 62(lacquer) for a couple days. the paint was about 20 years old.and it bubbled.I guess it traps to much moisture and cant breathe. You can try to sand & buff but I dont think it will work. You will need to repaint the affected area. they have to be able to breathe....Bill- Top
