    NCRS events....

are closed to the general public UNLESS they pay an admission fee to see the cars. Club rules require judged cars to be in 'display' format (hood open, Etc.) so fellow club members can 'view' and observe. There are no club prohibitions against taking picture(s) of what's in full view to my knowledge...

Now, if one has to go beyond 'normal' viewing (remove the air cleaner, open a door, slide the seats forward, open the glove box), that's a horse of a different color that REQUIRES the owner's permission! But, I know of no rules prohibiting photography of any car placed on the judging field for general display where the photography is a 'fair game' endeavor that doesn't require owner permission to 'actuate' item(s)....

Perhaps our National Judging Chairman will chime in and enlighten us on this one... Who owns the 'intellectual property' to 'fair game' viewing of Corvette placed on the judging field? What's the answer, Roy?

Is a glass half empty or half full? Answer that and you may be able to answer your question! The original assumption was that the photographer did not ask permission, maybe he did! Most people respect the hobby and these cars enough to extend common courtesy to the owner or the photographer, not all but most.
