    If you obtain one from a donor car at a junk yard, it has to be one that comes from a car with GAUGES, not a simple warning light. That sender is different. You'll find that cars of the period with gauges are far less common than those without.

      thanks for the additional info. I wouldn't have known the sender units were different with or without gauges.
      I'll be sure to try to look for ones only from cars with gauges.
