My car was delivered with black wall Uniroyal Loredo tires, and I am trying to find a company that makes that same looking tire but in a tire that might try and hold 435 HP. Also, does anyone know the largest size tire that can be properly fit onto the 6 inch wide bolt-on's? THANX.

when they cmae out in 67, a 435 hp tire was good for about 5k miles. if you find a tire that fits inside the rear quarters and lives(and bites) better than the originals, and LOOKS like the originals, let us know.mike -

If you're hoping there is a decent blackwall bias-ply tire out there that will provide good performance, it's a futile quest.
If you're willing to install a blackwall radial, the pick of the liter is the 215/70ZR-15 97W Pirelli P4000 Super Touring. It has been installed on a number of C2s including '67s with Rally wheels and C2s with both KOs and bolt-ons. It fills the fenders to the max, but doesn't rub, and all owners appear to be quite satisfied with their performance.
This specific size was originally developed for Jaguar sedans and combines good all season traction and grip with a reasonably smooth and quiet ride and a 168 MPH maximum speed rating.
They are available from The Tire Rack for about 85 bucks each, and can be ordered by any Pirelli tire dealer.
Since their revs/mile spec is the same as the OE 7.75-15s, they will not alter speedometer/odometer accuracy.
