    C2 1966 Fiberglass holes

I have a question regarding the correct amount of holes that should be in the lower fiberglass piece that runs below the grill opening. The holes I'm talking about are used to mount the support rods that also attach to the bottom of the core support. (hope that makes sense, sorry). Any way, I know the BB and SB core supports are mounted at a different angle and thus would use different hole locations in this fiberglass piece. My question is, should there be 2 holes, one on each side or 4, 2 on each side, 1 set for the BB location and 1 set for the SB location. My quess is that this fiberglass piece is generic and would have 4 holes, you just use the correct ones per your installation. This all has to do with the correctness of an after market piece. I appreciate it if some C2 owners could take a look at their cars in this area. Thanks for the help.

My 67 BB has 4 holes. The forward 2 holes are bolted to an "L" bracket which attaches to the core support. There is also a cutout on the passenger side.

Thanks for the quick response Steve. That's one validation of my thought, i.e. 4 holes. Funny you should mention the cut out. THe fiberglass guy asked if I wanted a "cutout" added. I wasn't sure of the details so for now I told him no, for now. I'll have to research when this cutout started showing up. I don't want to impose, but any chance you could send me a picture of yours. Thanks again.

Thanks Rob. Do you have the cutout that Steve talked about in his response? Thanks again.

My 67 SB has 4 holes, and I took a deduct on the extra holes. However, I was missing the two bolts to the radiator core, so I didn't make a fuss.

Getting some great responses. Thanks to everyone. It sure sounds like 4 holes is the correct number. I was surprised to hear the Ian got a deduct for it though. Actually, I'm not too surprised, judging and judges vary a lot. Thanks for the great pictures of the cut out too.

Sorry, I guess it was Jerry who got the deduct. Sorry Ian.

Both the holes and the cuttout showed up in 66 with the change in radiator support angles.
