The HD suspension option for '66 - available only with L-72 was coded F-41, but consisted of the same component substitution as the prior year F-40.

K-66 was required with L-72, optional with L-36, however, since each had their own spark advance map, they have different distributor part numbers, so if the distributor tag is still wrapped around the base, the part number and date code are additional clues.

duke: you got it right--i had the parameters ass-backwards. to summarize, ALL F41's were 425hp while some 425's did not have F41. Correct now? thanks mike
