C1 windshield to body installation

On a 60, what is the best method of determining the amount of shim under the windshield post to provide the correct back rake of the windshield when installed on the body? Is there a glass angle measurement or some linear reference dimension from the post to the body?

shim such that the soft top +/or hardtop don't pull too much on the upper windshield frame when latches clamped down. if there is too much force exerted when latching the upper frame/windshield seal will lift off the windshield glass. then adjust door posts to fit windshield side posts. then fit door glass weatherstrip on tops to fit windows. its time consuming but if gaps excessive, water in cockpit will be too. good luck, mike
