    Ignition coil condensers

At a local swap meet I purchased a 293 B-R ignition coil with the bracket and condenser for $10. The condenser has the following on the bottom:
1852715 DR 3MF and on the side stamped in ink 1 18
I have another condenser that says:
    1947452 DR 3MF
I also have an ignition coil that has in raised letters 287 B-R.
    What are their applications?

    Thanks,
    Scott

    Re: Ignition coil condensers

The '452 capacitor is what was used to supress ignition noise on radio equipped Corvettes connecting between the coil bracket and the primary side of the coil. The '715 capacitor is not a Corvette part, but it's similar in PN series to distributor internal components--perhaps another passenger car radio RF capacitor or a condensor used inside the distributor adjacent to the ignition points....
