    Waco Hotel Rooms

For anyone planning to attend the Lone Star Regional in Waco, Texas, 20-22 October the following hotels still have rooms available--but I don't know how long that will last. Holiday Inn Express, America's Best Inns, Knight's Inn, Days Inn, Motel 6 and the Hampton Inn. I don't know how many rooms each may have, but you should book as soon as you can to ensure you get a room. The Special Olympics are also in town that weekend.

With the hurricane expected in Texas and 90mph winds in Dallas, hope Waco survives the hurricane. Cities and towns 140 miles north of NO suffered damage and were without telephone and electrical service for several days, plus gas shortage. How many refinerys in the Houston and Galvaston area?

Houston ship channel has about 25% of US refinery capacity if I remember correctly. Waco should be okay, just wet. Gary....

Waco is over 200 miles north and we have those big Texas mountains--the Hill Country-in between.

Don't wish for things, you might get more that you bargained for Charlie I plan to attend. Texas has always been a place that I love to visit. I made a mistake 35 years ago when I left Texas. Friendliest people in the country.
