68 BB Engine Stamping Question

My 68 427 Engine pad has T0429IR and then the serial number. But on the
vertical face of the pad it is stamped 0247-8. Does anyone know what
the 0247-8 means? The judging manual doesn't mention any stampings like this.

I would guess that the extra number stamped on the front would most likely be from an engine rebuilder as this is typical of that industry. They use their own in house numbering system.
