There are two holes by the rear edge of my lower valance panel. Are these used to bolt the panel to the radiator support by the use of a "L" bracket? This is true for 65 I recently looked at. This is not possible on my car because of the way the panel and radiator support line up.

Randy: yes, that's what the two holes are for.
If your alignment is just a little off, the core support can be loosened and readjusted.
If you're off by 1/4 to 3/8 inch, but the L-bracket hole still overlaps the valence, I'd definitely drill new holes to get the bracing support that those brackets provide. Or if you want to get real tricky, you could make some "custom" brackets with nuts welded to them. Only those nasty judges would ever notice it, if they're close to the original size and location.- Top

On a '67 there are a total of 4 holes, 2 near the rear edge (not used) and 2 forward of the edge about 2-3 inches. The forward holes have the "L" brackets bolted to them.- Top
