Some have gone for more than that.
Color and eye pop has some affect though.

      Don,

Like others, I've kept my eye on the rising prices of these cars, and recently sold my '67 400 coupe, no paperwork but lots of options. If you're(or your friend) really in love with the car, year, color, engine, etc., that would be the most important thing...then, obviously price is a BIG factor. Ask yourself if you would still be happy with the car be if prices slide back a bit, or you're told a later date you paid too much for it. If you didn't originally set out to buy a car without any power options, I wouldn't change your mind now. As for the price, I personally feel it is a bit high for a coupe with no options. I would value the car by allowing a third of the value for paper work,(not just a tank sticker) a third for condition and the remaining third for rareness in terms of options. Although a tank sticker is a great thing to have, it's less valueable when there a fewer options to confirm originally came on the car. For a car in this price range verifying previous owner history would be essential for me and I would find out as much as possible regarding it before entering any negotiations. Just my opinion....

Don, The fact that it has no power options should concern you unless the buyer plans on installing them later. I have a small block w/o power steering and it's a bear to steer at low speeds or while maneuvering! I could only imagine what a big block would be like without a power assist. It's worth a second thought.
Also, giving opinions on a vehicle's value can backfire, especially coming from an NCRS board or member. That's why you usually don't get a dollar figure, but only a "range" or "past sales" indicators.
