1965 Fan Clutch Need Rebuilding Service

    Hi

Was wondering if anyone could recommend a rebuilding service for mid-fan clutches. The FC on my 327 is a little weak, and the car is running about 20 degrees hotter during the summer months.

    Thanks

    Mark

        Mark,
Be prepared to wait 6 months (and promised 3). Final refurbished product does look great. Hope that it will last many years.

          Yes...

Fred's had a landslide of problems in the past year...

          (1) Lost his primary engineering design job (employer went under) and had to find alternate employment.

          (2) Lost his plating sub-contractor (retired/closed the business) and had to find an alternate.

          (3) His supplier of proprietary fan clutch bearings wanted to discontinue the product due to low volume and Fred had to negotiate an 'end of life' supply contract.

          (4) Lost his primary partner in the business (his father, a retired ME) who was there to actively work jobs due to his untimely death...

BUT, these problems are all behind Fred now and last I talked to him (about a week ago), his backlog has STABILIZED at 6-months turnaround and he's kicking jobs out the door + making progress in working down the accumulated inventory. Yep, Fred has been drinking from a firehose for the past year and it looks like there's finally a light at the end of the tunnel....
