    C2 67 Seat Tracks

What color are the 5/16" shafts for seat adjustment on the seat tracks? Were they painted black? The ball is chrome.
I understand the tracks and feet were grey phosphate.

    Steve,

I think they were black, at least with my black standard 67 interior. I did the tracks in dark gray but the levers in semi gloss black when I redid my seats. I went back to original colors as I found them.

Thanks. While I'm at it were the track bolt plates (part that bolts to the floor) also black? Mine were but I don't know if they had been touch prior to me.......

        Steve,

I did the bolt plate in black which is probably not correct. The plates on mine were so rusted I couldn't tell the original finisn but being part of the track, it was probably the same finish as the track, and was covered over by the carpet flap.

When I did my carpets I put a heat shield under them and didn't cut the flat. Put the tracks over the carpet and used stainless steel bolts to the floor.
It looks pretty neat but, not correct.

Maybe someone else will chime in on the color of the bolt plate to the floor.

You're correct. On original cars the frames were S-G Black.
Tracks were Grey Phos (the piece with the "Feet" that bolts to the floor).
Some restorations have used the current "Cast Blast", but, does not appear correct.
