New 1963/1964 Judging Guide 4th Edition

I think I will scratch my head a little longer. After all the discussion over the last many months is the new JG incorrect or correct where it addresses Option C07 on page 41. My understanding is that the notch in the hardtop is just the reverse, meaning it appeared prior to VIN 5000 and no longer existed after VIN 5000. I have never seen a notch in a top, original to the car, after VIN 5000.

Any thoughts on this.

I have not purchaced the new guide as yet, but as another point of information, I do have an original unrestored May 63 Hardtop, no upper or lower rear window supports, and no notch. It is not original to my car, so I can't say what serial number car it came from. It was the most discussed part of my car at Carlisle.
