1966 427Exhaust manifolds

I'm looking to purchase Exhaust manifolds for a 427/390 hp 66 vette. I understand there are several companies that offer reproductions. Any thoughts on whether it is better to hunt for originals or settle for reproductions? Any suggestions on who to buy from? I live in CA. Thanks in advance for your help.

For originals, try J&D Corvette, in Bellflower, CA...sorry, I don't have their 800# handy. I believe they'll have reproductions as well.

Hector I needed a new right side for my '74 BB and bought a NOS one from Neal Bridges in St. Petersburg, Fl. I may have paid more than a repo but in my mind it was worth it. He probably has what you need and the price for me was reasonable and he is a great guy to deal with. Turned out he is from my home town and personally delivered the part to me. repos differ from originals in that the repo's lack the "tits" on the plateau of the casting. judges know of the differences and deductions are routine for the repos. look for originals if the ole vette is to be judged. mike

I second the Neal Bridges recommendation if you want originals......he is located near Tampa and will be at The Orlando meet in January...if you can wait that long. He is straight as they come and his prices are fair. The manifolds will be correctly restored by him. Tell him I said hello as well.
