PS make sure you use a distributor

that has a 360 degree groove around the part that fit into the lifter gallery as some chevy distributors did not have the 360 groove and they will not prime correctly

Summit, Jeg's, or any decent speed shop will have them - mine was made by Tavia; note the double spool on the bottom that matches the ones on the distributor - that's essential to allow pressure to build in the lifter galleries.
