    Radiator Core Support

Would anyone have a picture of a late-1961, 1962 core support? I am looking for a view where the lower radiator support bracket (with cups) attaches to the radiator core support?

    Thanks for any help!

What are "cups"? Bottom of support sits on shims--lower support bolts go through third arm support bracket, rubber cushion, metal plate, nuts hold bolts to underside of third arm support bracket.

      Re: Radiator Core Support

      Hi! Mike

I purchased a new date coded aluminum radiator while at Carlisle. The previous owner removed the bottom bracket that supports the radiator and installed an old radiator out of a passenger car. I would like to secure some pictures of an original radiator core support and measurements for the brackets location. I just ordered the bracket and it will need to be welded in place and I would like to insure I get it right the first time.

      Thanks for your reply

      Ray

        Ray...

Lok in the Paragon or Corvette Central catalog's, they both have a good picture.

          Hi! Dennis

That is where I barrowed the drawing from. Thanks for your response.

Not sure if this is the view you're looking for:

              Thanks! Rob

Thanks for the picture, but I am looking for a view of the raised portion on the inside of the core support the the radiator pins and cushions set into. This part was removed and will need to be welded into place. I have never seen the correct support and am trying to do my homework prior to receiving the part.

              Thanks for your reply!

Ray--I don't have a loose support to measure off of, but what comes to my mind is simply "centered". The two pegs at the bottom of the radiator go into the two "cups" in the support, with rubber grommets between the two. The radiator is centered within the support, and the lower bracket with the two cups is centered within the cradle portion of the radiator support.
