I heard a rumor from a Canadian friend of ours at Carlisle. Someone has found a building/barn?? full of 57 corvettes. The corny part of the rumor is that there are so many, a group of 57 owners are trying to keep it quiet because they fear it will affect the value of their cars. HUH! That's all I know. I will call this Canadian friend and see if he knows anything else. Did anyone else hear this story. Thanks!

Didn't hear the rumor--reminds me of years ago when I collected baseball cards. There was a rumor about a big stash of 1952 Topps high number cards being found and soon coming onto the market. "Better sell now---this will drive the prices of those cards down!!!" Those who started the rumor harvested many of the cards at lower prices and then drove the prices back up when the rumor proved untrue. -

I actually saw pictures of a barn full of 56/57 Corvettes. The pictures were taken in the early 1990s, and I saw them at a Cypress Gardens meet. The guy with the pictures would not disclose the location of the barn. Most of the cars were non-running, but pretty complete. Some needed body work from minor accidents. I estimated that there were about 25 cars in that barn.Comment

Those cars/that barn are in the eastern US--they've been owned by a gentleman who purchased them in the 70's--they are still not for sale.Comment
