'66 Convertible: Body Sits Unevenly in Rear

What are the "usual suspects" when a the rear of a C2 body sits higher on one side? Car is a '66 427/390 convertible and is believed to be all original in terms of suspension with the exception of gas shocks (three-owner car. Body sits slightly higher over the right rear wheel.I know from reading the archives that leaf springs have a very long wear life. Could it be something like incorrect rear spring outer bolts?

I would suspect the gas shocks prior to looking in other areas, the bolt you speak of is visable from the rear of the car and any difference in length is easy to see as well as any damage in the leaf spring itself.

Let me know what you find out. My 66 conv small block sits low on the pass side by about 3/4". Rubber rear spring cushions were changed and that increases ride height on both sides.
