    Corvette Parking at Carlisle

It has been a few years for me, but I am leaving for Carlisle about 3AM tomorrow. Still not sure, yet, if I'll take one of the Corvettes. Does anybody know the details/price/availability of Corvette parking within the fairgrounds?
I would hate to drive there and have to park my Corvette on somebody's front lawn, 3 miles away from the event.
Is it worthwhile staying for the parade Sat evening?

If you check their web site you may get information on parking. Its been 2 years since I was there. My friend brought his 65 and I seem to think he paid about 60 dollars to park for the three days and that included 2 entry tickets for the three days. Not a bad deal. You can drive the car out at the end of the day and bring it back the next day.
I didn't tay for the parade, but if your worried about your car running hot it might not be a good take.

They have an area on the fairgrounds that is Corvette parking only.

The vette only parking is right in the thick of things. I usually use it.

However, this year I get to go right in. Corvette central/ vette mag. is using my car for a window adjustment and maintainance clinic all day Friday .(boy does my car need it).

The body's in need a of face lift/repaint but the engine and compartment were just done, as well as the interior. Doing a front clip/ repaint this fall, figured I'd let them go wild.

Besides I get a pass and great parking!

call carlisle, they'll take your credit card to pre-register...
fun display about $60 for the 'vette and two people. you will have to stop at the house just inside the gate to pick up a bag of merchandise, other crap, and a window sticker. i recall the locals charge $20-30/day for lawn parking. traffic is a horrific nightmare anytime after sat 7:30-8am...a good test of your cooling system

Is there any specific gate you have to enter to park inside? I have been there every year, but never drove my car to park on the grounds. Yes the traffic is a nightmare.

the traffic police pretty much point you into whatever gate you might randomly approach. thus, i take the back roads. if you search www.corvetteforum.com, i remember someone last year posted turn-by-turn directions with pictures! really, they did.

CAlled Carlisle this morning....Unless you are already registered and have a sticker, you have to go to the brick building at gate 3 and pay $65.00 to get your car and 2 people into park on the fairgrounds. It's good for all 3 days.
