65/66 Steel Wheels date codes

I have NOS steel wheels with part stickers #3869156. My question is the date of these wheels. The codes found are as follows: Valve stem area: K184 7 (stem) 23. Inner rim area: 15X5 1/2 JK 1(or)7 23. Spider area: K184 G.

I am thinking that these were manufactured in 1984 as service replacements would this be correct?

The "7" on one side of the stem, "23" on the other, coupled with the "7" and "23" on the inside probably means July 23rd. Per A.Colvin's '65-69 book, "K" is for Kelsey-Hayes, the "1" is for Romulus Michigan plant. You may be correct that the "84" is for the year. Back in the early '70's the format would have been only "K-1-4" (4 indicating 1974). In the next decade, they may have added the 2-digit year to differentiate the later production. On the spider, the "G" might be part of a "GM" stamp, especially if the letter is on the second line.

Russell: If your wheels were made in 64, 65 or 66, I believe they would not have dates on the valve stem area, but only on the inside.
