small block lift question...

hello,

will be taking small block with t10 trans out of '63 at some point in the future...the variable is that the heads are removed...so am wondering if there's a preferred way with no heads to secure lifting device to block?

Use head bolt holes and a proper length bolt to snugly secure the chain links to the block. Use fender washers under the chain links to protect the deck from maring.

I think the head bolt threads are 7/16-14.
