Joe,

Thanks for all of these great vintage photo's. The (9) big blocks on the
fork lift is my personal favorite! One question though. I have seen a few
vintage b&w L-88 photo's that seem to depict the block as unpainted. Am I
interpreting this correctly? Or, were they painted Chevy orange and the block just appears to be the same color as the aluminum heads?

Steve..I think someone else can better answer your question. The picture showing the 9 big blocks is pre L88.

I suspect L88's were painted orange being cast iron blocks..but I defer to others stronger in this area.
