I received my set(s) of the new Paragaon reproduction 69-73 plastic wiper clips today. NICE!! Several asked for feedback. I have original examples of 3 of the 4 styles. In comparing my originals with their repro, they are dead on the money. PERFECT!! They're installed already, as I had the wipers removed from the car. Also, in my "quest" for original clips, I've picked up a ton of arms, and every nozzle I've ever seen is brass, not steel. Most original nozzles I've seen extend from the tab nearly all the way back to the wiper arm mount hinge. I've also seen several that are an inch or so short of the wiper arm mount hinge. I've never seen a steel nozzle. Hope this helps everyone. Chuck

Re: Ok not steel, but Brass?
Glad to hear the clips are a good reproduction.
Ok I surrender the tubes are not steel, see my magnetic post below. I agree they are not steel.
If they are brass why have mine corroded with a white powder on them rather than the green corrosion that is typical of copper/brass alloys??

Re: Ok not steel, but Brass?
Hi Terry. I should have mentioned that I've seen several that APPEAR to be what I call "tinned"...or have some type of thin plating on them. Maybe this accounts for the white powder, and not the green/blue corrosion typical of brass/copper materials. Chuck1963 Corvette Conv. 327/360 NCRS Top Flight

Re: Ok not steel, but Brass?
Is it possible the 'white' is the residue of factory original black-out paint pigment? Any poss you'd consider Dremel tool and miniature wire wheel to see what's below the 'white' in a non-obvious location?- Top

Re: Ok not steel, but Brass?
Jack - I am not that curious as to preform even semi-destructive testing, and prefer to believe Chucks suggestion that some may have been plated, however your suggestion that it might be paint deposits has some merit. With warmer weather (it was almost 75 degrees here today, but I mean consistently warmer) I will be able to raise the wipers and I'll give them a better examination.
Franz - I understand corrosion. I have spent my working life in the electric utility business in a major urban area with significant underground installations. That is why I expect the green residue of copper/brass on the tubes - not the white/light gray powder that is there.
