C2 Side Exhaust-Cutting Front & Rear Panels

Are the front and rear panels cut the same way for 65 thru 67s with side exhaust? I have a 65 AIM and am considering cutting the panels for side exhaust on a 66. I suspect the demsions are the same for all years but want to be sure.

The 66 is a numbers matching 425 conv with side exhaust and I suspect the exhaust system was changed at the dealer or shortly after purchase because the rear quarter and front panels are not cut. Also, the exhaust holes in the rear panel have been filled. There are no under car exhaust hangers (front or rear) but these are easly removed so there absence cannot be used as evidnce of a factory side exhaust car.

To answer your question, yes the dimensions are the same.

However, factory sidepipe cars had the front and rear fiberglass cut on the assembly line. They would need cutting even if the dealer installed them.

The filled rear valance panel could be from another car, but if all four fenders are uncut and the rear valance panel is filled AND there is still evidence of rocker panel supports then there is strong evidence that this is not a factory sidepipe car.
