    Early Vette distributor

Got an old GM distributor with the following on the band: 111 985 DELCO REMY 2D2. It has one set of points, although there may be room for a second (dual point?). No vacuum advance, but the full-round rotor. Any ideas as to what this is from?

Rather common piece--on ebay constantly. These were made into the early to mid 90's, as I recall. 2D2 is April 2nd, 1962, 72, 82, or 92. This dual-point was the distributor of choice for circle track guys all over the country for many years.
