    67 A.I.R Air Cleaner Base

Is it possible or is there any documentation that an A.I.R. air cleaner base was installed on a non A.I.R. 67 SB from the factory with the extra holes plugged with endcaps?

Once upon a time...GM offered this air cleaner across the counter as a universal "one size fits all" replacement.

It also had the tube for the 427 and 327 versions. I have one of these....but managed to get a correct 327 only A.I.R. cleaner for my 67....Craig

Mine has three holes instead of two. Would this make it an over the counter GM part that could be used for both 327 and 427 ?

The 3 holer is the one I was referencing in my post....one for the breather on the back of the block on 327's, plus TWO holes for A.I.R. one for the 327 engines, one for the 427. The correct A.I.R. cleaner for 67 has two holes, but the bases are different (due to outlet locations) between 427 and 327. This "3 holer" covers both A.I.R. configurations, PLUS the base configuration 327 with rear block breather...... Craig
