    Re: C1 clock

If you repair it and unplug it when you are not using the car for long periods of time, it will keep running for years. I had my 1960 clock repaired at least 6 years ago and when connected, it runs perfect and keeps great time. If you repair it and don't unplug it, the winding solenoid will not last long and you will be repairing it again (I know for a fact).

If you want a worry free clock and don't plan to have the car judged in an NCRS event, switch to quartz.

        I have converted many

Mustang clocks to quartz, and they run great, but are NOT original. If your clock is repairable, do so, and leave it unplugged as suggested. My original 55 clock still works, it has just been unplugged most of the time since 1970.
