Jack, You reference "AC-Delco/United-Delco speedometer shops." Do they still exist? I remember these shops from years ago. But I haven't seen any lately. Maybe I didn't look in the right places.

Re: speedometer for 60 vette jumpy
Try the local yellow pages and/or ask your local Chevy dealer... They're out there! In Denver, our local Delco speedo shop is Deluxe Speedometer on Speer blvd, they do instruments and radio repair and have been around since the 1940's. They have the factory original test/cal equipment and quite frequently have parts (at last catalog price) that have LONG been discontinued by Chevy!
You can hand walk a speedo/tach in for repair with the final price being something like $40 + parts or make an appointment for them to R&R the item for you. You get good service at a fair price, but expect them to repair only as cosmetic reburishment (fresh silk screen of the gauge face) isn't their 'bag'. Mr. Goodwrench's 'brother' in the business is alive and well in various parts of the country!!!- Top
