EBAY certainly has become the place to find all kinds of parts for mid year vettes, but it certainly has become expensive. When I first started using EBAY to locate things I needed, there were only about 10 pages of corvette parts...now I think there are around 60 or more. Occasionally I'll find a part I need that isn't in great demand, and get it at a reasonable price, but find one that is hard to find to any degree and be prepared to be surprised at how much it sells for. Sometimes it only takes more than one person to drive the price to where you begin to second guess yourself as to how much you really need the item. Guess that's the price you pay for such a convenient way to find so many different parts...

Re: "EBAY"....FIND WHAT YOU NEED...BE PREPARED TO
There are some crazy prices on ebay. However, there are some really good deals too. Hard to find but they are out there. I've picked up a few items and was surprised when no one bid against me. How about a patent pending no "R" cap for $10? Or an original non DOT goldline with wheel for $180? The deals are out there, you just have to be patient and not get caught in a bidding war.- Top

Re: I see what you mean...
I like what Joe Lucia said the other day that there is no set price on a rare part, it is worth what some one is willing to pay. I know of one of these brackets that just sold for $3500.00. Another person wants $5000.00 for his. Beleive it or not the 2600 was a good buy. I will have it on display at Corvettes Carlisle if any one would like to take a look. john- Top
