I have been doing some minor body-on restoration on my '66 roadster. I removed the #1 body mount bolts to replate them. I found that under the frame mount there was no cushion, just a large, blackened washer and plated nut. It was the same on both sides. I'm sure they have never been removed before. I was wondering if any else has found this arrangement, rather than the cushion, plated washer and nut per the assembly manual.

Re: '66 ROADSTER #1 BODY MOUNT
Rob,
The spacer in the #1 body mount location would be 100% correct, if you have a convertible. The rubber cushion found on coupes was instead a steel spacer for conv, the same dimension as the cushion. The lower half of the mount was also a large steel washer instead of the rubber cushion found on coupes.
