      John, what about the sight holes on the side of the carb?

        I've only had '57 2x4's with WCFB's, and left the carbs on those to Bob Kunz; bolted them on when he was done with them, and never touched any of them again as long as I owned them. I'm familiar with Holleys, but never noticed any reference in the WCFB Shop Manual procedure to using those plugs to measure float levels; I set float level and drop on the few non-Kunz WCFB's I've rebuilt based on the measurements from the bowl cover surface, as shown in the Shop Manuals. Even if you can judge the float level by observing through those holes, you still have to remove the top cover to adjust them.
