i am restoring a 73coupe, and am in the process of putting the interior back together. my questions concerns the emergency brake console, and the replacement of the plastic slider piece. i don't quite understand what the forward portion of the slider fits into, if anything? the sides have guides and the rear portion slides under a brace as you pull the lever up, but as you put the lever back down, where does the forward portion go? i assume it just slides under the forward console? any help would be appreciated...thanks, rick
