What identifies OFF ROAD EXHAUST, I was told the car was equiped with it, I would like to confirm that. Also looking for a source to replace it. I've only found regular 2 1/2" systems.

Re: '65 OFF ROAD EXHAUST
Keith,
If the muffler assy's are genuine GM "off road" units, they will be embossed with their part numbers, 3845735 and 3845736. The muffler and pipe that extends forward to the transmission area will be one piece instead of two separate pieces that would be joined together roughly one foot forward of the muffler.
I know of no source for these assy's as they have been discontinued from GM for many years.

Re: '65 OFF ROAD EXHAUST
Zierden Exhaust Company who was a regular vendor at the Florida NCRS meet for years was bought out by ****CO. I got an off-road system for my '67 from Zierden several years ago and another from ****CO in recent years and the quality was excellent both times. Their website is http://www.****co.com/mufflers/systems.htm- Top
