Attention C1 owners: fantastic documentation found

    Hi all,

I recently bought via e-Bay a vehicle analyses report. This turns out to be a fantastic find (for only a couple of pounds!!!) It is a confidential report on a 1961 imported car into Great Britain. It contains detailed photo's of all kind of angles of a 1961 radio deleted base engine car taken back in 1961!!! Even the frame is photographed after a body off and also lots of measurement are graphed in the document.

Since my motto is that if you share you stuff you have even more out of your treasures so I posted it all on the C1 REgistry (beside the other 200 vintage documents).

The document is an absolute must for all C1 owners to study in detail. Remember all pages can be blown up by clicking on them. Great for studying the enclosed pictures!!! Its app. 53 pages in total so enough to take you through the trip to the National (if you print all pages). I which I could join but maybe next year this will be possible.

In the meanwhile enjoy this great finding via enclosed web link!!!

    greetings,
    Rob.

PS don't hesitate to send me any other interesting C1 releated document to share. I'm more than happy to post them as well!

    greetings,

I really appreciate your posting this data

That's a neat document full of interesting info. My favorite section is the list of repairs necessary during the first 6,300 miles (pages 30 - 32). Two carburetor rebuilds, a generator repair, and whole lot of nut/bolt/screw tightening.

What a seriously weird car: metallic brakes, base engine, no radio, and blackwalls. Sounds like a budget stripper except for the brakes.

Re: Attention C1 owners: fantastic documentation f

I wonder if there is anything in this document (or enclosed pictures) enforcing an update of the 61-62 judging manual. I would love to believe that I have added a small contribution to these masterpieces of the NCRS which helped me so much during my own restoration...

                      greetings,
                      Rob.

                        radio delete in Europe?

rob, do american AM radios work in Europe? Perhaps that is why it is a radio delete car?

                          Re: radio delete in Europe?

They do work, Ithink they didn't want to spend any more money on the car then neccesary... They specificly wanted to test the metal brakes so thats why this unusual option was ordered in combination with the 230 hp car.

                          greetings,
                          Rob.
