Perplexed again! Cannot locate emergency brake hardware kit for my 84. Know others have had same problem with the 84-87 and thought you might know what to do? Worst case I will put brake back together with existing clips and return springs but two return springs are badly worn. I could get by with two return springs--possibly some other chevy models would have used a "like" return spring(s)?

Re: C4 Parking Brake Hardware Items
Bill: I had the same problem on my 1986. I replaced everything on the brake system, except the parking brake hardware and a few ABS pieces. My parking brake setup doesn't even have a 100,000 miles on it. I left mine as I found and just adjusted the parking brake setup. What I would do is clean everything up and inspect them to see if they are streched. If the are not stretched just paint them to preserve them and reinstall. If they are, Your best bet would be to first check your local GM Dealer to see if the are still available from General. If GM does not sell them anymore, I would call Contemporary Corvette in Bristol PA. (215)788-8605. The stock alot of 84-96 parts. They might have a good set of used springs for your 84.
Good Luck

Re: C4 Parking Brake Hardware Items
Joe, been real busy getting ready for big July 4 affair at my house and haven't had time to think--cutting grass and honey do's! I will try the PA outfit you suggested. I have essentially done a "chassis apart restoration" on this 84 and I simply hate to have four retainer springs be the only "old/bad" parts on the car. Thanks for info. Bill- Top
