When I wash my 66 convertible the gap between the deck lid and rear body fills up with water. It then leaks into the car by the decklid springs. I can see a hole on either side, but can not see where it drains to. Can anyone help?

Re: 66 Decklid, drain holes??
I just did this on my 66 yesterday. Used a coat hanger. Worked from the bottom and got one side completly open. The other side is still slow. I can't really see the hole on the slow side. You will see a "bump" in the upper part of the wheel well directly below the drain hole in the "gutter".

The other thing that can affect this is either body damage that was repaired poorly and you have extra fiberglass built up there or an aggressive aftermarket rustproofing/soundproofing sprayed in there. The latter happened to me.

Re: 66 Decklid, drain holes??
I had the same problem with my 65 and it turned out that they were full of leaves and crap. Went after them with a coat hanger from the wheel well and they work like a charm now. Thanks to all for the great advice I received.
Good luck.
