I just put in a new 74-6yr battery for my car. I can not for the life of me get the hold down clamp to tighten up to hold this battery. the old wal-mart battery that came out fit just fine it was snug an tight, with the hold down clamp. this new battery will not fit tight it has some slack in it an will slide side to side. has anyone ran into this with the 74-6yr case? any ideas how to fix this?

well just came in from shop, an I finally got the battery to hold tight. I found a NOS clamp that I had in my stash of parts, an lo an behold it worked. the repop was off just enough to let it have some slack. but it was holding the wal-mart battery, but it would not work on the Delco.
