Well guys, here's what happens when you fail to do your homework properly before buying parts at a swap meet. Last weekend I went to the show in Houston and was hoping to find an original master cylinder for my 60. Before I left I checked Nolan Adams book because I couldnt find my judging manual and thought I had a good handle on what I was looking for. After digging through many tables of parts, lo and behold , I found an original 022 master cylinder and the price was right so I bought it.I drug it back to Austin and dismantled it and glassbeaded it and discovered that it would require re-sleeving and asked arround as to who did good work. Jim Frakes gave me a reccomendation and almost in passing mentioned that he hoped that I had bought the right 022 M.C..I dug through the house till I found my judging manual and found he was right, my 60 was supposed to have a M.C. with the 022 in larger numbers then the rest of the casting number. If anyone needs an earlier model master cylinder contact me and I will pass my bargin on to someone who needs it and in the meantime I will go back to searching high and lo till I find the proper unit
