    62 steering wheel

How does the steering wheel come off my 62. After I pulled off the horn button it looks like there are 3 rivets holding on the horn contact. Do these rivets have to be drilled out? What replaces them?

Ken, you need to go down to your local parts store and buy an inexpensive steering wheel puller. There are two small bolts which thread into two threaded holes in your wheel hub and a center jacking screw which pushes against the steering shaft. After removing the nut holding the wheel the simply tighten the center screw on the puller and the wheel will slide off the shaft.

Those 3 "rivets" should be phillips head screws. Once you remove them and the button holder, you can get at the nut holding the wheel to the shaft. After removing the nut, use a steering wheel puller to get the wheel off the shaft.
