I took a look at my differential this weekend and noticed that there APPEARS to be a drain plug in it. Colvin states that no Corvettes 59-62 have a drain plug in the differential. Can anyone comfirm this? The 58-60 techinical Information Manual and Judging Guide is not real clear regarding the drain plug. The center section casting number appears to be 3725899, I am unable to see any numbers on the axle. Thanks

Your 1960 should have a drain plug in the center of the housing.

I did some research on this a while back. According to my info, the drain plug first appeared in 1957, on both Corvette and passenger car rear ends.
I cannot speak about passenger car rear ends beyond 1957, but 1955 and 1956 passenger cars did not have a drain plug, 1957 passenger cars did.
