what is the best way to remove the actuators from the car?

Not sure if best way.. but on my '71 C3, I disconnected the actuator rod from the headlight assy, removed the vac hoses, unbolted the actuator and removed. I had the hood removed and the grill so it was easy. If your hood is on the car, I believe the only way to r/r is thru the grill opening.
