    62 vette air filter

    Hi all.

I just need some info on the filter. I bought the air filter used. My question is, my filter has a sponge type material going around the inside held against the cover with a type of wire. Is this the correct filter? Can this material be washed and reused? Where can more material be bought if I have to replace it?

    Thanks,,,,John

Sounds like the right one. I know Paragon carries as 552 for under $11..

I washed mine in soap and water and then saturated with engine oil. Still getting some excess running out so do not use to much oil.

I did not know that you use oil on the filter. But i'll read the owners manual.
