2005 Pace car

Was at the Indy 500 yesterday and thought the pace car was pretty neat. I really liked the 2004 Pace car and they brought one to work - GM stamping plant in Indy - and got to inspect it. The last three years a Corvette has been the Pace car, but GM hasn't cashed in on selling the usual production option like they have done in the past. I always thought it would help to sell more cars. Are they selling that well that it wasn't worth the effort?

a friend wanted a 04 pace car but i could find no one at GM could come up with the decals so he had them made and put them on a white 04 vert and it looks great. the 03 pace car decals were sold by GM
