It was originally built with a 10.5" clutch and 153-tooth flywheel, and should have a 3858403 bellhousing - number is visible on the passenger side; if it has that bellhousing, it has a 10.5" clutch, as the 168-tooth flywheel and 11" clutch used beginning in 1973 won't fit in a 403 bellhousing.- Top

I think you must have your "Camaro hat" on. For Corvettes, virtually all LT-1s used an 11" clutch with 14", 168 tooth flywheel and bellhousing GM #3899621. The only exception was 1970-72 Corvettes with ZR-1. With that option, the 10-1/2" clutch with 12-3/4", 153 tooth flywheel was used with bellhousing GM #3858403. 1970 used a 10 spline input shaft and clutch friction disc for all applications; 1971-72 used a 26 spline input shaft and clutch friction disc for all applications.
For Camaros, all 302 Z-28s used the 10-1/2" clutch with 12-3/4", 153 tooth flywheel and 3858403 bellhousing. However, 1970+ Camaros with LT-1 used the same set-up as LT-1 Corvettes (except ZR-1).In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
