59 Carpet, Daytona or Tuxedo?

The VIN #7959 on my 59 is late in the production run for this year. Does anyone know when they switched from Daytona to Tuxedo carpet? I am going to purchase the highest grade offered (NCRS quality) in either correct style from a vendor, and I would like to purchase the correct one. Thanks in advance.

Use Daytona from Al Knoch. I have tuxedo in my 59 but build date is July 13th, 1959.

I was told that my '59 #6956 should have Daytona, so that's what I put in mine. I've seen several earlier 59's with Tuxedo (Salt & Pepper), but I thought that the Tuxedo started in REAL late 59.

Thanks for the info. I was pretty sure that Daytona was used, but wanted to verify before purchasing. I have heard the Al Knoch is the carpet to use. It is more authentic than the others, I'm told.
