Thanks Joe...another suggestion is Bob Beck. He concentrates on the 77 model year and always seems to have a handle on interesting tidbits...I'll dial him up and see if he's got us an answer.

I wish I had a concrete answer for you. The only refernce is the sale brochure listing an optional glass roof canopy. There is no mention of the tops in the AIM, Dealers Order Guide, or the Salemans Quick Option Book. There was an dispute with the manufacturer of the tops as the 77's were starting production. T. Micheals of Pro Team was a distributer of the tops (Moon Roofs)and he used a brand new 77 with these tops on the front of his brochure. It would be hard to believe without some documentation such as the build sheet, dealers order copy, car shippers copy or window sticker to prove a 77 Corvette left ST. Louis with those tops installed. In 1978 only 972 regular Corvettes (Non Pace Cars) had the glass tops installed.
