I'm a relatively new member of the IL chapter, and can tell you that Mike was a true contributor to the NCRS and one very nice gentleman. I took my 9 yr. old son to the latest tech session and Mike went out of his way to make him feel comfortable around a "bunch of old men". I was pleasant surprised and grateful for his generosity on what was a busy day for him.

Mike always took the time to make my wife and I feel welcome at all chapter events, from the first day as a Newby, to the most recent event. He will be sorely missed by all of us.
Clear skys, open roads, and no speed limits to you Mike.....

--------Mike was a very long-time, old friend. He made Jan and I feel welcome in Illinois immediatly after meeting us. We have had so many laughs and good times over the years that I couldnt possibly begin to count them. He was one of the original "Outlaw Racers" and was proud of it. I cant begin to explain the Outlaw Racers. You just had to be there. I have seen far too little of Mike since we moved from Illinois but when he spotted either Jan or I it was as if we had seen each other the day before. He will be missed by so many people.
